Now Carrying: Jenni Kayne
California ease, quietly made — cashmere, pleats and easy layers have arrived on Detroit Road.
Some labels announce themselves. Jenni Kayne never has. For more than a decade, the Los Angeles brand has built its following the slow way — on cashmere you reach for every morning, knits that keep their shape for years, and a palette borrowed from the California coast. We’ve admired it from afar for a long time. As of this week, it’s hanging in the shop.
Why we brought it in
Everything we buy for the shop has to answer one question: will you still reach for this in five years? Jenni Kayne is built on that answer. Natural fibers, calm neutrals, silhouettes that ignore trend cycles entirely — quiet, well-made staples that earn a permanent place in your closet instead of passing through it. We can’t think of a label that fits Eleanor + Hobbs more naturally.
Start with the Dree
If you try one piece, make it the Dree V-Neck Sweater — the cashmere that made Jenni Kayne famous. Relaxed through the body, with a deep, easy V and a hand you have to feel to believe. We brought it in two colors, and both go with everything you already own.
Then build the look
From there, two pieces to build around. The Pleated Skirt in ivory is what we keep reaching for on the floor — it moves beautifully and dresses the Dree up with no effort at all. The Aire Crewneck in sage brings cable texture and a soft note of color to all those neutrals.
In store and online
The collection is on the floor in Rocky River and online now. First runs are small — if something above caught your eye, don’t wait on it.
